Every village. Every family. Every tongue. Every people. Every land. Every Nation.
IBCT exists to take the gospel where it has never gone — to unreached communities, remote river villages, and forgotten families across Bangladesh. We believe Jesus is the hope this nation needs, and we will not stop until he is known.
How we reach, disciple, and plant
Unreached People Groups
A people group is "unreached" when fewer than 2% are Christian and no indigenous church exists that can evangelise the rest without outside help.
Bangladesh is home to hundreds of unreached groups — communities who have lived and died for generations with no access to the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is why we exist.

The Bengali Muslim People
The largest people groups of Bangladesh
Bengali Muslims are the largest ethnic group in Bangladesh, making up over 91% of the population. As part of the world's second-largest Muslim ethnic group, they are predominantly Sunni and blend Islamic beliefs with ancient Bengali culture, language, and agrarian traditions.
"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?"
- 1Pray for gospel workers to go into Bengali Muslim communities with boldness, love, and cultural sensitivity.
- 2Pray for the small number of known Bengali Muslim believers — for protection, discipleship, and bold witness to their own people.
- 3Pray that God raises up Bengali men and women who carry the gospel from village to city across Bangladesh.
People group profile
Bengali Muslims are classified as an unreached people group — over 91% of Bangladesh's population with less than 1% evangelical Christian.

One classroom at a time
In 2025 our education outreach opened doors into six previously unreached villages — and into the hearts of families who had never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Education ministry"There was no church in our village. No one had ever told us about Jesus. Now we worship together every Sunday — and we are taking the gospel to the next village ourselves."
