Who we are

A movement, not just a church

What began in 2003 with a handful of believers praying in a Dhaka living room has grown into a church-planting movement reaching across Bangladesh — from the capital to the river delta, from the tea gardens of Sylhet to the villages of Barisal.

Our people

Sent people, sending people

We are ordinary Bangladeshis — farmers, teachers, students, pastors — united by one conviction: that Jesus is for everyone, and that we are sent to say so.

IBCT exists not to build a large congregation in one city, but to catalyse a movement of disciples who make disciples — until the name of Jesus is known in every community across Bangladesh.

The first gathering, Dhaka
Core convictions

The Bible

The authoritative Word of God — our final guide for what we believe and how we live. We teach it faithfully and obey it fully.

Grace alone

Salvation is God's gift, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone — not by effort, religion, or ritual. We proclaim this without compromise.

The Church

A community of every tribe, tongue, and people — called together by the gospel and sent out to love, serve, and multiply.

The mission

We exist for Bangladesh. Every unreached people group, every remote village, every family without a gospel witness is our concern.
